Progress Report
The short film "Someone I Should Know" is moving along great. On November 5, we began shooting. The actors and actresses all showed up and were ready to shoot. The only problem we ran into was the Marathon that was being held in the inner-city Indianapolis, which caused my co-producer and I to be 2hrs late to the shoot in which the crew waited on us for two hours; I was mortified. The owner of the house, which we needed for the house scene gave us only 4hrs to use their facility. First, we came in and shot the "Meat of the Film" and everything else leaving the owner very happy that we didn't have to stay past our allotted time. On November 12 the crew and I ran into one slight problem because the owner of the boutique that we needed for our second scene failed to show up on time thus leaving us hanging and upset. To our surprise, the following week of November 19 we were able to lock down a different boutique for the second scene and successfully film within two hours of the time we were granted. Furthermore, the weekend of December 3 we will be shooting two more scenes leaving us with three scenes left. Unfortunately, we are behind schedule by two weeks due to no shows and holiday breaks that slightly changed the timeline. Overall we are still optimist that we will successfully meet our timeline goals in finishing the short film.
